On 3 February, 2013, I posted the following item on the then kinship website under the title “Raiding back in 2008”:
For all you newbies, here is a piece of kinship history I dug out: a table showing the kin’s hardcore raiders in November 2008, at a time when we had finally brought the Rift of Nurz-Gashu to farm status. The table includes all those who joined Rift raids. You can tell who were the regulars by their more-or-less full colour bars, indicating how far they had completed their armour sets. The Rift bosses dropped one or (rarely) two armour tokens which were rolled for; the rarest items were of course those which dropped from the Balrog – shoulders, weapons, Wigfeld cloak and gold jewelry. A yellow bar indicated possession of the full six-piece armour set. Of the 55 members on this table, just four are still regular raiders today: Thor, Belegwe, Eresmir and myself.
Interestingly, three of the kinship’s four core raiders in 2008 and again in 2013 are still raiding today; the fourth, Thoronthor, is taking his sweet time catching up with us but is almost there…
